Islander Up for St. Louis' Most Wanted with Alive Magazine

Alive Magazine recently opened nominations and voting for the St. Louis' Most Wanted contest.  The goal of the contest is to pick 4 of the most "successful, stylish, and sophisticated" singles in St. Louis.  Voting and nominations go until October 12.  Then, after picking the Top 20, voting will open to select the Top 4.  On November 23 at 9pm, the Top 20 will gather at Molly's here in Soulard where the Top 4 will be announced.  Tickets to that event are $10 and include two free drinks and appetizers. More details can be found here.

In looking through the nominees, I noticed one of my favorite Islanders is a contestant.  I've know Emily Whitworth for a couple years now through our involvement with August Gate church, here in Soulard.  She is exactly the kind of person I always say deserves to win these contests.  She's currently the Education Director for Mission: STL and extremely active in both her church and community. She has also been instrumental in organizing and running a program that now meets three times a week with students at Peabody eMints Academy to work on their reading and comprehension skills.

Once you sort through all of the bogus scam entries, vote for Emily Whitworth because 1) She deserves it and 2) She's your neighbor.
