Feraro's Leaves The Island

The above sign hangs on the window of the former Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza location at 1862 S. 10th Street. Owner Jon Feraro recently opened a larger location at 7704 Ivory in the Patch neighborhood that features many more tables than the Soulard location offered as well as a full bar.

The new location was recently written about by a contributor to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The menu is still what you remember and the same great deals are available at lunchtime.

Feraro also has taken a part of the new building and turned it into the Engine Room, a live music venue that hosted its first show on December 27th.

Feraro says that they just simply outgrew their Soulard location. The new location offers a larger kitchen as well as over 100 seats for dine-in customers in addition to the full bar. More delivery drivers are on at any one time so Feraro says that delivery times remain the same or better. The delivery area has only gotten larger with the move. Do yourself a favor and call 314-256-0500 to order yourself some Feraro's soon. If you have never had their deep dish pizza, you are only depriving yourself of the best deep dish pie in all of St. Louis. It's also one of the best deals at $8.50 with one topping.

Follow Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza and Bar on Facebook and remember they have only moved ten minutes farther south.

Rest In Peace, Feraro's Soulard.

Feraro's Is Expanding

More to come on this, but Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza has plans this year for a really cool expansion. According to Mr. Feraro himself, early plans call for a rooftop patio.

Stay tuned, folks

Happy Football Day St. Louis

Sunday is the day we see what we have cooking with the Rams this season.  Here's what you need to know in Soulard.

  • Shuttles to the game:  As the Official Bar of the St. Louis Rams, Llywelyn's is offering the same complimentary shuttle that they offer for Cardinals games for every Rams home game this season. 1860's, Hammerstone's and Johnny's/Joanie's are also operating a shuttle. Like always, don't be a douche and just use the shuttle without buying anything from the bar.
  • Watching the games: International Tap House on 9th is the best place to watch games, especially when there are multiple games going on at the same time.  With the Cardinals playing an afternoon game, get to iTap to watch the games.  Also, iTap will be offering Happy Hour prices ($1 off drafts) during the games. Free pizza is available while it lasts starting at noon.  By "free pizza", I mean Feraro's so, it's amazing.
  • Watching the game at home: Call 314-588-8345 to order Feraro's

Cerebral Palsy Benefit This Saturday

Not doing anything this Saturday? Check out this Roast and Charity event for Cerebral Palsy put on in part by Jon Feraro at Lemp Grand Hall at 1817 Cherokee. I am told there will be comedy, music, food, cocktails, a raffle and a silent auction.

The prize/auction item list includes some cool stuff:

Gift Certificates to various Soulard establishments
Prints/Photos by local artists
A Cardinal ticket package
Hotel packages, including nights at the new Hampton Inn & Suites in South County, Moonrise Hotel, and  Lemp Mansion

Tuesday means $1 Burgers, $10 Pizza, and $3 Missouri Beers

Here's the 3 best deals in Soulard today, as judged by me off the top of my head:

  • $1 Burgers at Llywelyn's--6p-10p.  It's $1 per burger and extra for toppings and side.
  • $10 Pizza at Feraro's--Best pizza in the area, hands down.  $10 gets you a 14inch 3-topping pizza on Tuesdays.  You can even have it delivered to.....
  • $3 Missouri Beers at International Tap House--8p-close all Missouri beers are $3 in drafts and 12 oz bottles.  This does not include A-B beers because obviously that is a Belgian beer.  Branch out from the usual Schlafly and Boulevard and try something from Six  Row or Charleville.

Tuesday Pizza Special at Feraro's

If you haven't had Feraro's Pizza yet, you aren't getting the full Island experience.

Try Feraro's on a Tuesday and get a sweet deal. $10 for a 14-inch 3-topping pizza. The meatballs as a topping are amazing. The meatballs are an old family recipe that Jon then slices thin for the pizza. Delicious.

Other Tuesday specials:

Llywelyn's $1 Burgers 6p-10p (This special is ending soon I hear)
iTap $3 Missouri beers 8p-close

Best Pizza in Soulard

The Best Pizza in Soulard, hands down:

Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza 314-588-8345
http://ferarospizza.com/

Buy a whole pizza, or just by the slice.  Try the meatball pizza.  They take the old family recipe meatballs and slice them real thin for the pie.

Their Cannolis rank as one of the best desserts in Soulard as well.

Great lunch specials starting around $5.  Outside dining available.  Not Open Mondays.  Delivery available
