The Island Frozen Yogurt Opens

Most of you have heard someone wish out loud that we had a frozen yogurt or "fro-yo" in Soulard. Well, prayers have been answered.  The Island Frozen Yogurt opened on Saturday for a test run and is now ready to go.  Hours will be 11a-11p seven days a week for now.  Jason, the owner, said that they will probably close a little early on Sundays.  The shop is located on Russell next to Johnny's.  The space used to be Paste, the craft store. Jason, an Island resident himself, redid the place and built the business all while still holding down his full-time job.

I want to say there are 8 flavors of yogurt.  The yogurt comes from a place in Pacific, MO that the owner picked after a bunch of taste testing. The flavors change every three days. A great selection of toppings are available to spruce up your dish.  The fruit is from the Farmer's Market.

The decor is what you would expect by the name. If you remember the inside of Paste, you will be amazed at the work put in.
Now that you have read my lovely words about the place, go visit and enjoy.

Price is 40 cents/ounce and plastic is accepted.
