The monthly SRG General Membership meeting is being held tonight at the Saints Peter and Paul Parish all. It's at the corner of 8th and Allen where that big parking lot is. Meeting starts at 7pm and should be short. After the meeting, the quarterly SRG Safety Committee Safety Walk will be held. Members will group up and each take a section of the neighborhood. We'll look for safety hazards and things like lights out. Energy efficient bulbs for porch lights will be left at homes because lights deter crime. It's a great way to get involved with the neighborhood and help make the island even more awesome.
The social will follow at a resident's home with free drinks and food. Donations are accepted. Bring Cash
If you live in Soulard, you need to check out the Soulard Restoration Group. I thought it was a bunch of old homeowners when I first moved here too. Actually when I first got involved, it did seem a bit older but now there is a solid group of involved younger folks.
If you aren't happy you came, someone will buy you a beer or glass of wine at the social at you will be happier.
