2014 Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard

The Southern Comfort Taste of Soulard is one of the coolest Mardi Gras events of the season. The hardest choice you will make on Saturday or Sunday is deciding where to go. So much delicious food. You will be stuffed for your $25. Here's the full list. Below, we've picked six of the best choices to use your food tickets on.

Sassy Jac's - 1730 S. 8th Street
--Crawfish Roll

1860's/Hardshell
--Crabcakes with spicy aoli

Franco
--Tart Flambe w/ house-cured bacon & Greyere cheese

Molly's Restaurant
--BBQ Shrimp w/ cheddar cheese and green chili grits

Soulard Social House
--Pulled Pork Sandwich or Fish Taco

Soulard's Restaurant
--Bread pudding with whiskey sauce

The most filling item on the list is the slice of pizza from Epic. If you treat them nicely, they might even give you a topping. If you are trying to fill out your Taste of Soulard Passport then you may need to venture over to Cat's Meow to try the baked crab on cracker. We hear good things.
