Soulard Barber Shop

Chances are if you are reading this blog, the Soulard Barber Shop has been around longer than you have been alive.  It was forced to move from its original location when Hwy 55 was built and has been in its current spot on 7th between Soulard and Geyer since 1983.  As a dude, I don't ask for much in a haircut, other than that (1) it doesn't make me look like I have a mullet and (2) it's even.  The Soulard Barber Shop fulfills both of those requirements.  At $6.75 for a haircut, if you complain you deserve to be punched in the face.  Seriously, $6.75? Drop a $10 spot on that and you are a baller, player.  There are three guys who cut hair and one who shines shoes.  All 3 barbers have been cutting hair since most of the Great Clips "stylists" were playing with Barbies. A dude getting a haircut by a stylist is like expecting a good sandwich made by an "artist".  There are two exceptions where it is ok to not go to the Soulard Barber Shop if you are a dude:

  1. You're bald.  In which case, I bet the crazy shoeshine guy can shine your head for you
  2. You are being tricked by a woman who is either a family member or "other" acquaintance into spending more that $6.75 for a haircut
Soulard Barber Shop is open till 4:30pm most days except Sunday.  Mondays they may or may not be open, I haven't figured out the pattern yet.
