Think of the Soulard Restoration Group (SRG) as the neighborhood residents' group. The group exists to better the island. They meet once a month where business is discussed about things going on in the neighborhood including safety and neighborhood development. Check out Soulard.org for what the organization is really all about.
If you live on the island, we here at iLoveSoulard encourage you to at least come out and check out this party. You may think the SRG isn't for you, but there's a better chance of St. Louis getting an MLS team. Either way, the $20/$30 is worth the admission for the great spread Bill at Grizzly puts out. If you have been wanting to meet people, this is a great way to do it. You don't have to worry about sitting through a meeting, you can stand in the corner with your drink and judge if you want to.
If you don't have a great time, someone on the Executive Board will gladly get you a drink at the bar.
