24 years ago Doorman Dave started at Carson's. A couple weeks ago, Dave worked his last shift at the door and moved that same weekend down to Texas. If you've ever been to Carson's you know who this man is. You probably showed him your id at the door then saw him singing an old country song from the back of the room later in the evening. For years, Dave's wife Mary was just as much of a fixture inside as Dave was outside. Mary passed away last year. Dave was enrolled in school before Mary died and recently finished his degree. He's going down to Texas to use that degree in some fancy Big Boy job.
Thanks for the memories, Dave. We'll miss you and hope to see you again soon.
