Work is progressing on the old Verlin's/Phelan's space. I have it on good authority that the space will house the second location of Rotten Apple. The original Rotten Apple is in Grafton, Illinois and was once of the first places in the area to really embrace the craft beer craze a couple years ago. Here's a
link to the Yelp review for the Grafton location. Look for the restaurant to open within the next month or so pending red-tape approval. I'm told that they will have over 30 beers on tap. No word on if "Das Boot" will be available, the 96 oz boot of Stag for $6. I think it is safe to assume the staff will wear pants though, unless of course I get hired...
